Thrifty Moms Marketplace Fees

Marketplace Traders

  • Marketplace Traders never pay listing fees.

  • A 20% commission is applied to every marketplace sale, calculated from the total price of the product plus shipping.

  • Buyers never pay any fees.


​Rental Owners & Business Service Providers

  • Rental Owners and Business Service Providers pay a $300 listing fee per listing with no expiration date.

  • ​After payment, listings are reviewed to ensure they meet all Listing Guidelines.

  • Once approved, the listing will be published and visible to site visitors.

  • If the listing is not approved, the listing fee will be refunded in full.​

  • Once the listing is approved and published on the marketplace, the listing fee is non-refundable.

  • No additional fees are charged to Rental Owners and Business Service Providers after the listing is approved.


Optional Marketplace Rental Booking Feature
Rental Owners may choose to use the marketplace’s built‑in booking system, which applies a 20% commission to rental transactions processed through the platform. This allows renters to book directly through the marketplace for convenience and secure payment processing. However, renters are not required to book through the marketplace and may complete rental agreements privately or outside the platform at their discretion.

Thrifty Moms Marketplace is committed to maintaining a safe, honest, and family‑friendly environment for all buyers, sellers, rental owners, and rental clients. To protect our community, all users must follow the listing guidelines outlined below. These standards ensure that every listing is lawful, accurate, and appropriate for our marketplace.

By creating a listing, you agree to comply with these guidelines and all marketplace policies.

1. Accuracy & Honesty Requirements
 

All listings must be:

  • Truthful and accurately described

  • Free from misleading, deceptive, or manipulative information

  • Clear about condition, size, defects, and functionality

  • Supported by real photos of the actual item or rental space
     

Sellers, Rental Owners, and Business Owners must provide:

  • Honest descriptions

  • Accurate pricing

  • Clear availability (for rentals)

  • Transparent disclosure of any flaws

Misrepresentation of any kind is strictly prohibited.

2. Prohibited Listings

The following items and content are not allowed on Thrifty Moms Marketplace:

  • Harmful, dangerous, or unsafe products

  • Sexual, explicit, or adult content

  • Racist, hateful, discriminatory, or derogatory items or language

  • Violent or threatening materials

  • Illegal goods or items that violate local, state, or federal law

  • Stolen goods or items you do not have the right to sell

  • Counterfeit or fraudulent products

  • Listings intended to harass, mislead, or exploit users

Any listing that violates these rules will be removed immediately.

3. Marketplace Conduct Requirements

All sellers, rental owners, and business service providers must:

  • Treat buyers and renters respectfully

  • Communicate clearly and promptly

  • Honor agreed‑upon prices and terms

  • Ship items on time and provide tracking

  • Maintain professional behavior at all times

Harassment, abusive behavior, or attempts to manipulate transactions are strictly prohibited.

4. Enforcement: Listing Removal & Account Bans

Thrifty Moms Marketplace takes violations seriously. We reserve the right to remove listings, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users without prior notice for any violation of marketplace policies.
 

Violations that may result in immediate removal or banning include:

  • Posting prohibited items

  • Misrepresenting products or rental spaces

  • Fraudulent or deceptive behavior

  • Abusive or unsafe conduct

  • Attempting to bypass marketplace rules or fees

  • Repeated non‑compliance with guidelines
     

If a user is banned or their account is deleted:

  • The user's account and all listings will be permanently deleted.

  • Personal user data will be removed according to GDPR guidelines.

    • Messages and reviews from the user will not be deleted, as they are part of marketplace history.

  • All ongoing transactions involving the user will immediately stop and will not move forward.

  • The user will not receive payouts after deletion.

  • Payouts will not be made for any ongoing transaction involving this user, including payouts to other users.

  • This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

These measures protect the integrity of the marketplace and ensure a safe environment for all participants.

5. Policy Updates

Thrifty Moms Marketplace may update these guidelines at any time to maintain safety, compliance, and platform integrity. Continued use of the marketplace indicates acceptance of all current policies.
